I saw the expanded seawall during my lunch walk along the waterfront. The sidewalk between City Beach and City Park is temporarily blocked. I had to walk through City Park to get to Northwest Boulevard. Unless you're tall, you can't see the North Idaho College Beach and City Beach from Hubbard/West Lakeshore Drive on the west to Independence Point on the east. I saw a couple standing on the lower wall to take photos of this once-in-my-30-years-here change along the seawall. OTOH, it's nice to know we can erect a 5-foot barrier to prevent flooding if we had to do so. (Photo: Duane Rasmussen
