The North Idaho Fair ends its five-day run this weekend, which means that politicians will be roaming the streets in gangs soon, seeking our votes via push polls, and jamming our TV sets and dead-tree media with annoying commercials. Also, Bent and 29 fellow BBQers will be at McEuen Park today & tomorrow, trying to win the Idaho Smoke on the Water championship (food sampling for the public begins at 1 p.m. Sunday).
