On her Facebook wall, Kerri Thoreson posts: The Julyamsh Pow Wow starts this evening at the Greyhound Park. I love everything about the celebration. The grand entry with the Warrior Society color guard and eagle staff, the parade of horses and seeing several hundred dancers in full regalia gather in the arena. I love the drums, especially this year's host drum, Northern Cree. Lots of different dances but my favorite is the fancy dancers, (in a photo I shot last year).
