More than 5,000 people last Saturday were treated to a whole lot of free stuff during the first North Idaho Day of Hope at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Visitors had an opportunity to receive food, clothing, and multiple other services at no cost. Several city of Coeur d’Alene employees volunteered their time to give away an enormous amount of school supplies, thanks to local businesses who worked cooperatively with the city.
