Vito Makes The Big Apple

The Internet cannot enable doctors to remotely examine women's reproductive systems, but it can be used to spread the word quickly when a lawmaker makes himself look really foolish. Idaho state Rep. Vito Barbieri learned that lesson the hard way on Monday, when he asked a physician during a public hearing if women could swallow small cameras to help doctors do remote gynecological exams. Barbieri, a Republican, was part of a three-hour House State Affairs Committee meeting on a bill that would ban doctors from using telecommunications to prescribe abortion-inducing medications/Jason Silverstein, New York Daily News.
