CPD Seeks Child Enticer

From Sgt. Christie Wood of Coeur d'Alene Police Department:

  • (At 7 p.m. Sunday) Coeur d’Alene Police officers took a report of a possible child enticing that occurred approximately an hour earlier in the 1200 block of Syringa Drive.The mother of a 7YO victim reported her daughter was walking westbound on the south side of the street when a male driving a red passenger car pulled up next to her. She said the male began asking her daughter several personal and inappropriate questions. The victim’s older brother saw the interaction his sister was having with the male and approached the vehicle. He told his sister it was time to come home. The male suspect then drove off westbound on Syringa Ave.
  • (At 1 p.m. Thursday, May 21, a 25YO female reported a male matching a similar description, and a similar vehicle description, started talking to her as she walked across the parking lot at the Safeway store in the 1000 block of N. 4th St. The female told officers this male was asking her inappropriate questions and motioned for her to come with him. She said she was uncomfortable around him so she went back into the store. Officers would like to speak with this male. Description: Suspect description: White male, longer white hair, approximately 70 or 80 years of age. Suspect vehicle description: Red older passenger car possibly a Honda, or a Ford Taurus. The vehicle possibly has tinted windows.
