Lake City Native Ridnour Traded 4 Times In Week

In this Feb. 20, 2015, file photoo, Orlando Magic guard Luke Ridnour dribbles the ball during the first half of an NBA basketball game against the New Orleans Pelicans in Orlando, Fla. Ridnour, who was born in Coeur d'Alene, has been traded 4 times in the last week.(AP file photo)

Everything about Luke Ridnour’s N.B.A. career was fairly nondescript until a week ago. Over 12 seasons, he was gainfully employed by five organizations, averaging 9.3 points and 4.5 assists for the likes of the Milwaukee Bucks and the Minnesota Timberwolves. A steady-handed point guard, he was also capable of shooting from beyond the 3-point line. He was a player who rounded out rosters, a backup vocalist to more famous stars. Nothing about his game screamed for attention. But on the eve of the N.B.A.’s free-agent period, Ridnour has become someone else altogether, through no fault of his own — the league’s most famous basketball vagabond/New York Times. More here.

Question: Did you know Ridnour was a Coeur d'Alene native? And/or: Had you heard of Ridnour before now?
