Wild Card/Monday — 12.19.16

So we're leaving the deep freeze for some temperatures above freezing this week. I had the wood stove cranking over the weekend. Everything has been toasty inside. Mrs. O and I even braved the cold last night to get in a short walk with Huckleberry. We bundled up. So it wasn't bad at all. It's easy to get intimidated by the cold if you sit inside all day grousing about it. Once outside, you see the beauty of it. My sister in Southern California brags about the mild weather there at this time of the year. I like to remind her that the winter weather here is no big deal (most of the time). And that I'd rather put up with snow-packed roads than gridlocked roads any time. Now for your first Wild Card of the work week ...
