Facebook post about cop lands man in jail
The Idaho Statesman reports on a Meridian man who was arrested and charged with felony witness intimidation for Facebook posts about an officer who had previously arrested him: “I don’t feel like my First Amendment rights are being protected,” said the 30-year-old Idaho native, who has strong opinions on a number of issues and, until now, hasn’t been shy about sharing them. “I don’t feel like I can really express myself.”/Katy Moeller, Idaho Statesman.
Question posed by The Statesman: "How worried should the public be about saying something on social media that could send our lives into a tailspin — and land us behind bars?"
