A great byline

I enjoy a good newspaper byline as much as the next journalist. No Willy or a Sam for me (as Herman's Hermits sang way back when. I appreciate reporter's who have interesting names. I've been writing under my first 2 initials since I arrived in Coeur d'Alene 32 years ago. First, D.F. honors my father, Franklin. And when I arrived in Kootenai County 32 years ago, there were 4 other Daves in the office. Besides, D.F. is more interesting than Dave. Having said all this, my favorite SR byline belongs to Azaria Podplesky, who compiles our Education Notebook. My favorite at the Coeur d'Alene Press? Bethany Blitz. Bethany has an interesting name that you might find at Clark Kent's Daily World as a colleague in the newsroom. How about you?

Question: Do you have a name that would make a good newspaper byline? And/or: Do you have a favorite newspaper byline name?
