Huckleberries Online

Was Halloween a treat?

I hung out with some dear friends on Hayden Lake Drive last night, waiting for the trick-or-treaters who never came. As the evening wore on, I saw that my male host grow increasingly disappointed. He had a bowlful of goodies, including Snickers (a personal favorite of mine). No one came to the door. In the end, I ate 2 of the small snickers bars and took 4 more home for my daily lunch at work. My hosts lamented that they'd now have to finish off the candy themselves. I didn't see any kids in the neighborhood, coming or going. The houses on Hayden Lake Drive tend to be set back from the road. And there's no sidewalks. Mebbe those factors intimidated parents with small children. So ...

Question: Did you give out much candy last night?
