Jitneys take over

On our way home from the Master Class Big Band concert at City Park, we saw 8 to 10 old-time jitneys heading south of Lincoln Way toward downtown. Seems the drivers and their passengers ended up in the Coeur d'Alene Press parking lot. Where Eye on the Downtown Don Sausser photographed them. Don Facebooks: "A great impromptu 1915 or older car show developed in the Press parking lot today. All adorned in brass, Ford, Buick, Cadillac, Reo, Delace, McLaughlin, and even a Stanley Steamer. Part of a National club, they trailered vehicles to a central place (Seattle?) then take 100 mile day trips in the old timers."
