Searcher: Tech has divided us

Searcher: "Sometimes I think life would be a whole lot better if we just simply got rid of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc etc. I am beginning to think the end of our democracy and the beginning of our antipathy toward each other (again, the imperial "we") is an unanticipated consequence of the neo-tribalism afforded by technology and social media. We just need to turn off the screen and actually talk to each other in person, face to face, where we can see the pain in each other's eyes and feel their fears as our own."
