A whitetail doe, illegally shot from a public road, lies dead in the yard of a home in Idaho's Clearwater region.  The doe was feeding with her two fawns in the yard between the residence and the garage. The shot was down the driveway and across the mowed lawn with a .30-caliber rifle. The unknown shooters fled the scene and left the deer to rot. The fawns fed next to the dead doe until officers removed the carcass. (Idaho Department of Fish and Game )
