The Slice

Slush city, here we come

No, that was never a Jan & Dean lyric.

But being able to spot slush-splash potential is a time-honored Spokane life skill.

People who have this skill know better than to loiter right next to deep, curbside puddles. They do not set themselves up to be victims of a drive-by tsunami.

Those who do not possess this skill can be seen standing by a puddle, all but waiting for a car to zoom by and douse them with a street-slush smoothie.

How would you rate your own ability to spot potential trouble and back away slowly?
