NCAA fans no longer with us

I'll bet a lot of us know people who are not really sports fans but get caught up each year in the NCAA basketball tournament.

It's fun to see and hear them get excited about the games in March.

Of course, some of those friends and relatives are gone now. But it's impossible not to think of them as the tournament progresses.

You can picture where they sat. You can still hear how they cheered. And you remember so many other things.

"He would have loved this upset."

"This one would have broken her heart. At least for a day."

Sure, it's just sports. But if it meant something to people we loved, it means something forever.
