The Slice

Christmas season birthdays

Readers were asked how they made sure late December birthdays were not overlooked in their families.

Gary Polser had an answer.

"My wife Carol's birthday is on the 21st of December. She told me over 50 years ago that her birthday and Christmas were two different days. I never forgot."

Marie Carrier had an answer, too.

"I have a son who was born 45 minutes after Christmas. He will be 27 this Christmas. We have always made sure that he had a separate gift wrapped in birthday wrap as well as cake and a party with family. We also did half-year parties, so on the 26th of July we would celebrate with his school friends."
