Reardan searching for state title against Ducks

Last year, the Reardan Indians missed out on playing in the state title game, but hope to follow in Bi-County rival Colfax's footsteps, by winning a title after the Bulldogs won the last two.

The Indians will have to get by Toutle Lake, which has disposed of Brewster and Lake Roosevelt to play in tonight's championship.

The Indians are out to a 7-2 lead with five points from Liz Flowers. The Ducks answer to pull within two at 7-5.

After the Ducks tie it at 7-7, Chantel Heath and Kelsey Moos score back to back buckets to take a four-point lead for Reardan. Heath then goes to the line and hits one of two to give the Indians a five-point advantage.

Lauren Shulz hits a 3-pointer to give Reardan a six-point edge, but Christian Carlson comes right back with a bucket. Both teams are just trading buckets since Reardan opened up its first-quarter lead.

Heath has eight points in this first half to lead the Indians so far. Payton Hoff comes back and scores for TL, drawing the Ducks to within four.
