The bank accounts of college students nationwide passed away earlier this year after a long and hard-fought battle against increasing textbook costs. The savings and earnings were cared for and raised by loving students and were on their way to completing four years at universities across the country before their untimely death.

I am a sixth-grader in Spokane Public Schools. As you may know, we are at school on a hybrid schedule for 5th grade and above. We go to school every other day of the week.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Americans finally agree on something? After the discord of the past few months, it is heartwarming to see we are coming together in support of the COVID relief bill.

IMHO it makes no sense to funnel money downtown where there is no parking or ways to get to the proposed stadium especially during multiple event times. The Joe Albi location is perfect access from at least three major arterial streets with lots of parking.

Over the past few decades, coastal sea lion and harbor seal populations have increased tenfold. These populations compete with our Washington salmon for food.

The city of Spokane is moving forward with a new spirit of collaboration and policies based on data and robust input from its neighborhoods, businesses and community leaders.

A Guest Opinion on Feb. 24 by the Washington state director for the American Academy of Medical Ethics, Sharon Quick, M.D. ("HB 1141 would do disservice to vulnerable patients") takes exception to the bill because "There is no legitimate reason to reduce the time a terminally ill patient has to wait between requesting and receiving lethal drugs."

Any proposed Washington state carbon legislation must recognize that facilities like Kaiser Aluminum compete globally, already invest in innovative energy efficient facilities, and provide good jobs that support the state’s economy and our local communities.

Normally I would feel just horrible if I learned that someone has brain cancer. In Joseph Duncan's case, not so much; I feel he deserves anything and everything that can be thrown at him, he should have been put to death years ago, but the system is the system. This will sure save the tax payers a whole bunch of money and I am sure a lot of people feel the same.
