The Bartlett, a downtown staple for local, regional and national musicians since it opened six years ago, will host its last show Nov. 8. Co-owners Caleb and Karli Ingersoll announced the news in a Facebook post.
As far as growing pains go, Pig Out in the Park, which is celebrating the big 4-0 this year, has had it relatively pain-free. On the food side of things, Pig Out will feature 57 food booths, 245 menu items and four beer/wine gardens.
Northern Quest Resort and Casino’s summer concert series always features an eclectic mix of performers, and this week’s lineup is the perfect example. “Weird Al” Yankovic will perform Sunday, and Styx, joined by Loverboy, will perform Thursday.
There will be performances at 4000 Holes and the Big Dipper on Saturday to mark the record store’s 30th anniversary. Since opening in 1989, the store has been the place for music fans and musicians to gather, talk shop and check out the newest releases or find a hidden (read: used) gem.
