Tendler tends to Indians’ trends

The Spokane Indians had some shaky moments on Thursday, but Luke Tendler served as a steadying influence. Tendler drove in four runs with two doubles and a home run and made a sparkling play in right field as the Indians completed a six-game homestand with a 5-2 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils.

Spokane Indians defeat Vancouver 10-3

Jose Trevino and the Vancouver Canadians were stuck in a tie entering Friday’s big Northwest League series opener at Avista Stadium. Trevino, Spokane’s multidimensional player, broke that tie with two home runs to left field as the Indians (16-6) subdued Vancouver 10-3 to increase their lead in the North Division to three games.

Tim Hulett surpassed Harry Ostediek on the same night that the Boise Hawks ensured that Hulett wouldn’t surpass Ostediek. Hulett managed his franchise-record 543rd game with the Spokane Indians, passing the mark of Ostediek (1910-13), but the Hawks were the team to celebrate after an 8-4 triumph at Avista Stadium on Wednesday.

Indians continue historic streak

The Spokane Indians know they’re on a roll, but they never know who will be the hero on any given night. Tuesday night the role fell to slick-fielding shortstop Alberto Triunfel, whose two-run homer highlighted a three-run fifth inning that gave the Indians some needed distance on Boise.
