Central Valley, Ferris favored by GSL coaches

A look into the crystal ball of Greater Spokane League football reveals it is clear as mud. There is a conglomeration of colors. There’s the light blue of Central Valley, the scarlet red of Ferris, the dark blue of Gonzaga Prep and the maize and gold of Mead. There’s even distinguishable hues of Shadle Park green.

Three-time Mead state wrestling champion Chandler Rogers, a senior-to-be who is arguably one of the best wrestlers in state history, is moving to Stillwater, Okla. He’s already enrolled at Stillwater High School and he will be the fifth junior All-American on the school’s team.

Mike Hollis is giving his birthplace, Kellogg, a discount. The former Central Valley, University of Idaho and Jacksonville Jaguars place-kicker is holding a camp today in Kellogg. His business, Pro Form Kicking Academy, normally charges $125 for a one-day camp. Kids who attend today will be charged $80.
