Golden Key Announces New Members At UI

Golden Key, a national scholarship and service honorary, has announced its new members at the University of Idaho. To be eligible for membership, students must be a junior or senior with a minimum 3.3 grade point average.

Three Inland Northwest students attending the University of Idaho are recipients of Kappa Alpha Theta scholarships for the 1995-96 academic year:

Maria Yochum, Lewiston; Craig Crowley, Post Falls, and Nicholas Osloond, Spokane.

Former U.S. Sen. James McClure, who served Idaho for 18 years in the Senate and six years in the House of Representatives, will receive the Distinguished Idahoan Award from the University of Idaho Alumni Association.

He is a native of Payette, Idaho, and a 1950 graduate of the UI College of Law. The award will be presented to McClure at an Oct. 20 banquet on the UI campus.

Andrea Sherrodd won first place in Washington state for grades 4-6 in the PTA “Reflections” (about a girl with AIDS). She read her story to the state PTA convention. She is the daughter of Alden and Gail Sherrodd, and will be a fifth grader at Greenacres Elementary School in the fall.

David Condon, a junior at Boston College, has been elected president of Boston’s honors program in its school of management. He also received the Superior Cadet Award at the annual ROTC banquet. He is the son of John and Carolu Condon and a 1992 graduate of Gonzaga Prep.

Kathy Dickson, Spokane, has been elected secretary assistant of the Associated Students of Washington Student University for the 1995-96 school year.
