Thunder Gulch, still overlooked despite coming within one length of winning the Triple Crown, captured the $500,000 Swaps Open at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif.
Given a flawless ride by Gary Stevens, Thunder Gulch finished two lengths ahead of Da Hoss, with Petionville another three-quarters of a length back in third place.

Heavenly Prize romped to an 11-length victory in the $175,000 Go For Wand Stakes at Saratoga for her third victory in five starts this year.
