‘Four Artists’ Is Latest In Concatenation Series

The Spokane Arts Commission will show the latest of its Concatenation film series at 7 p.m., Thursday, in the City Council Chambers, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Titled “Four Artists,” the film takes an in-depth look at the works of Robert Ryman, Eva Hesse, Bruce Nauman and Susan Rothenberg.

Auditions

Spokane Civic Theatre will conduct auditions for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9 and 10, on the theater’s Main Stage.

Director John Phillips said the Christmas comedy calls for six women, 30-plus years old, nine girls between 6 and 18 years old, four men 30-plus, and eight boys 6 to 18.

The play runs Nov. 17 to Dec. 16.

Spokane Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for “Peter Pan” at 2 p.m. today and at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Aloysius School, 611 E. Mission.

Director Carmen Farley has 30 roles to fill with ages ranging from 10 years old to adult. Auditioners are asked to bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. They should also be prepared to dance.

Boys choir starts

Michael Muzatko, a Spokane musician, is forming Veritas, a boys choir.

Auditions for boys between 10 and 18 years old will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday, in the choir room at Bowdish Junior High School.

Experience isn’t necessary for prospective vocalists.

The concert season begins in October.
