Steve Martin says he’s overwhelmed by “sadness and a midlife crisis in full throttle” after breaking up with his girlfriend and watching his ex-wife remarry.
“I’m 50 … this is my last viable decade,” the comedian/actor told Esquire magazine.
Martin recently broke up with 25-year-old actress Anne Heched, and ex-wife Victoria Tennant remarried last month. Now, he’s troubled by a recurring nightmare in which he’s turning 60, starring in “Father of the Bride IV” and going through another divorce.
“I don’t want that,” he said. “I’ve been sorting out what it means to be a bachelor.”
Martin said he has started reading pop psychology books, including “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus,” and even got a Labrador named Roger to keep him company.

Clint Eastwood, 65, exchanged wedding vows with Dina Ruiz, a 30-year-old television anchorwoman in Salinas, Calif., in a small private ceremony Sunday in Las Vegas. “He was very relaxed and very pleasant,” said a clerk at the marriage license bureau. “He called me by name. Lorenzo Lamas will tie the knot with Shauna Sand, an extra on his “Renegade” TV series, on April 27 at the New York home of his mom, Arlene Dahl. “I would have married her the Sunday after I met her,” Lamas told “Entertainment Tonight,” calling his marriage license “the best $30 I ever spent.”

The artist formerly known as Prince, now an unpronounceable symbol, and wife Mayte Garcia-Nelson, a backup dancer with his band New Power Generation, announced that they’re expecting their first child in November. The couple was married on Valentine’s Day.
