Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: To keep food from sticking to the grill, spray with nonstick spray before cooking on it. Line the grill with foil for easier cleanup. - W. Mosakowski, Beaumont, Texas

Yup, the preventive hints are good ones. Be sure to spray the grill before you start the fire. You don’t want any flare-ups.

Summer barbecues are fun. Great barbecue hints and some of my favorite recipes are available in an eight-page pamphlet. To receive a copy, please send $2 and a long, self-addressed, stamped (55 cents) envelope to: Heloise/BBQ, PO Box 795001, San Antonio TX 78279-5001. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: I thought of a great way to serve salad dressing, like the kind that comes in the little bags with the ready-to-eat salad from the supermarket.

I pour the dressing into glass spice bottles that have plastic caps. Some have large holes and others have small ones. My grandchildren like to put on their own dressing and they eat up all the salad that way. It works for homemade dressing or the bottled kind. - Mrs. Arch Hillerman, Chehalis, Wash.
