Late Trey Lifts Wildcats Over Nighthawks

Lindsey Llewellyn hit a 3-pointer with 9 seconds left Saturday to lift Wilbur-Creston (1-2) to a non-league 56-55 win over Tekoa-Oakesdale (2-1) at Creston.

The Nighthawks’ Heather Cox missed the front end of a one-and-one in the final moments, and T-O also missed a putback after securing the rebound.

The Wildcats made 5 of 7 3-pointers and 19 of 23 free throws. Cox had 24 points and W-C’s Janelle Allen had nine rebounds.
