Hints From Heloise

Dear Heloise: My husband and I live in Indiana, but we go home to Texas for Christmas each year.

Early in the holiday season I buy rolls of wrapping paper in different colors and patterns. On my gift list I assign a different color or pattern to each family or location. That way, I can tell if a package is to be mailed or taken and where. No package gets missed or sent to the wrong location.

My husband loves it because there’s no digging in the trunk for a box. He packs them in the car as to location: cat pattern to Beaumont, Green Bills to Baytown, etc.

Dear Heloise: A garlic press makes a good vegetable and grain grinder for babies who are starting to eat solids.
