Kaiser Names New Trentwood Manager
Theodore Olt, retired president of an Iowa aluminum company, will head Kaiser Aluminum Corp.’s Trentwood flat-rolled products mill in the Spokane Valley.
Olt has been hired as a consultant to Kaiser for up to two years and named vice president and operations manager over Trentwood. He replaces Raymond Milchovich, who was promoted to president of flat-rolled products and micromill technology in Pleasanton, Calif.
Kaiser made the announcement Tuesday, though 46-year-old Milchovich was assigned to his newly created post in February. Olt, 60, will report to Milchovich, who became vice president at Trentwood a year ago.
The Trentwood factory employs 1,425 people and annually produces 500 million pounds of aluminum flat-rolled sheet plate products.
Olt, a 39-year veteran of the aluminum business, in May retired as group president of Nichols-Homeshield of Davenport, Iowa, a flat-rolled sheet aluminum company. Nichols-Homeshield is owned by Quanex Corp. in Houston, the same city where Kaiser is based.
“Ted Olt will have an immediate and lasting impact on Trentwood,” Milchovich said in a statement.
