G-Prep Choral Members Chosen For All-State Choir

Fourteen members of the Gonzaga Prep choral program have been selected to participate in the Washington All-State Choir and Jazz Choir.

Those named were: All-State Jazz Choir: senior Jonathan French, son of Ann Ganz-Aney, Spokane; and junior Katie Lyman, daughter of Larry and Dana Lyman, Colbert.

All-State Choir: Bridget Venne, daughter of Chris and Teresa Venne; and Angela Weaver, daughter of Jonathan Weaver. Both are seniors and live in Spokane.

Juniors chosen were Lisa Boren, daughter of Ralph and Vicki Boren; Nicholas Feulner, son of Bob and Sue Feulner; and Cory Frazier, son of Maribeth Frazier, all of Spokane.

Sophomores were Jennifer Cameron, daughter of Clifford and Bonnie Cameron; Jacquelyn Galloway, daughter of Rick and Karyl Galloway; and Jane Nall, daughter of John and Signe Nall, all of Spokane; and Ahren Gardner, son of Tim and Lisa Gardner, Colbert.

Freshmen were Amanda Alexander, daughter of Barbara Hartman; and Rachelle Strawther, daughter of Charles and Donna Strawther, all of Spokane; and Margie Randall, daughter of Gary and Sharon Randall, Colbert.

Marine Master Sgt. Wayne G. Campbell recently received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for making a significant contribution to the accomplishment of the command’s mission while serving with the 1st Landing Support Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Campbell is a 1975 graduate of University High School and the son of Agnes Campbell, Spokane. He joined the Marine Corps in 1975.

David K. Milford was recently promoted to the rank of petty officer 1st class in the Navy. He is the son of Davis and Gerda Milford, Spokane.

The Inland Empire Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls recently selected its new board of directors: David H. Davis, Nancy Jean Meuler, Mary Karin Miller, John R. Nevers, Tonya A. Smith, Kathleen D. Weibers and Heather Wilken.

Natalie Oswald, a senior at Gonzaga Prep, won the regional competition of Educational Service District 101’s state superintendent’s art exhibit.

Pieces of her work were displayed at Auntie’s Bookstore. She is the daughter of Michael and Linda Oswald, Hayden Lake, Idaho.

Three students at Lincoln Middle School, Pullman, were chosen Students of the Month for January: Kasi Dickson, sixth grade, the daughter of Brenda and Rick Dickson; Alisa Burns, seventh grade, the daughter of Lynn and John Burns; and Coy Weeks, son of Diane and Bill Weeks, is an eighthgrade student.
