Each time a Windermere Associate sells a home, a portion of the commission is donated directly to the volunteer-run Windermere Foundation. Less than two percent of funds raised is spent on administrative costs.

The Athol Fire Protection District Auxiliary is offering the Monopoly-like game of Kootenai County as part of its fund-raising efforts toward the purchase of a support rig.

The game includes 40 spaces featuring Kootenai County businesses or landmarks that players can purchase when landing on the squares, or buy from other players throughout the game with a roll of the dice.

Game spaces can be purchased by local businesses for $179 per regular square, $229 per yellow background star square, or $299 per corner square. The first 300 people who order the game will be featured in a patron list on the game board and cover. Landmarks will be showcased on the center of the board.

Unique Promotions Inc. will donate 200 games to the organization after the 40 board spaces are purchased. Games will sell for $15 each and after the initial 200 are sold, more games will be ordered.
