Idaho Authorities Ok Wwp Gas Rate Hike

The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has approved a request by Washington Water Power Co. to increase its annual revenues for natural gas services by almost 16 percent.

The rate increase, which will generate nearly $4 million in revenues, was made effective Dec. 15.

For residential customers the increase is $5.54 a month, or 16.6 percent. Rate increases for commercial and large industrial users will vary according to customer class and usage.

According to the commission, the rate adjustment will be used by WWP to pass through any insufficient or excessive collection of gas costs and reflects continuing changes in the cost of purchasing, storing and transporting gas for customers. , DataTimes
