Journal Of Business Gets New Manager

Greg Bever, Valley operations manager of The Spokesman-Review, has been named associate publisher of the Journal of Business.

Bever succeeds Janet Hasson, who is leaving to become director of circulation, sales and marketing for The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Bever’s appointment is effective Aug. 4.

Bever joined Cowles Publishing Co. 28 years ago and helped open the newspaper’s Valley office in 1988. Since then, he has had overall responsibility for the office, as well as heading Valley circulation and advertising teams.

He earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University in 1991. He is vice president of the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and a founder of the nonprofit group organizing the development of the Mirabeau Point community center. , DataTimes
