Survey Respondents Crave Time With Tiger

From Wire Reports

Americans would rather carry Tiger Woods’ golf clubs than spend a night in the White House, a survey said.

When asked how much they would pay to be Woods’ caddie for a round of golf, survey respondents gave the average answer of $7,800, said the Visa/Plus automatic teller network, which paid for the survey.

Meanwhile, respondents would pay an average of $2,300 to spend a night in the Lincoln Bedroom in the White House.

Woods, 21, became the youngest winner of the Masters Tournament last month and set a course record with 18-under-par 270.

The young golfer also surpassed Michael Jordan, the National Basketball Association superstar who often tops popularity polls. When asked how much they would be willing to pay to play a pickup game of basketball with him, respondents gave an average answer of $7,600.

Even though sports celebrities drew more interest than a night in the White House, the Lincoln Bedroom was more valuable than having a cup of coffee with Vice President Al Gore - the 1,004 survey respondents were willing to spend an average of $480 for that.
