Clarence Bosse Spokane
Funeral Mass for Clarence B. Bosse, 88, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bosse, a 60-year Spokane resident, died Thursday.
He was born in Keuterville, Idaho.
Mr. Bosse retired after 35 years of service with Spokane City Lines, Spokane United Railways and Spokane Transit Authority.
He also worked for Diamond Parking for 15 years.
Mr. Bosse was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Holy Names Society, Knights of Columbus and was an usher at St. Francis Xavier for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Marlene Edwards of Spokane; three brothers, Leo and James Bosse, both of Moscow, Idaho, and Leonard Bosse of Spokane; four sisters, Bernadine Egger of Chewelah, Wash., Reggie Skok of Spokane and Eleanor Olesen and Evelyn Grassl, both of Moscow, and a granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Fred Merriman Springdale, Wash.
Graveside service for Fred Augustine Merriman, 75, will be at 1 p.m. today at the Springdale Community Cemetery. Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Merriman, who was born in Dola, W.Va., died Saturday.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He also worked on the construction of the Burma Road.
Mr. Merriman worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in the mid 1980s.
He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 77 in Spokane.
Survivors include a son, John Merriman of Springdale; a brother, Dale Merriman of Chattaroy, Wash.; a sister, Eulah Gower of West Virginia; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Harold Kosch Spokane
Mass for Harold L. Kosch, 75, will be at 8 a.m. today at Mount St. Michael’s. Burial will be held at Shelby (Neb.) Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Kosch, who was born in Shelby, died Sunday.
He served in the Navy and Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific.
Mr. Kosch farmed for 25 years in Shelby and also operated a beauty school in Columbus, Neb., for 10 years.
He moved to Spokane 19 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; three sons, Chris Kosch of Manteca, Calif., Bruce Kosch of Shelby, and Brian Kosch of San Francisco; four daughters, Linda Kuzelka of Hastings, Neb., Jackie Martens of Columbus, Neb., Michelle Gable of Colbert and Lisa Kostohryz of Medina, Ohio; five brothers, Max, Alois and Delmar Kosch, all of Columbus, Howard Kosch of Spokane and Gerald Kosch of Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Maxine Aerts of David City, Neb.; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Floyd McDaniel Spokane
Service for Floyd McDaniel, 69, will be at 11 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Cremation will follow.
Born in Rockbridge County, Va., Mr. McDaniel died Monday.
Mr. McDaniel moved from Glasgow, Va., to Spokane in 1982.
He served in the Army in the Philippines during World War II.
Mr. McDaniel worked as a brick layer.
His wife, Frances McDaniel, died in 1986.
Survivors include five sons, Steve McDaniel of Reardan, Wash., Frank McDaniel of Amherst, Va., Terry McDaniel of Spokane, David McDaniel of Roanoke, Va., and Floyd McDaniel of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Ellen Hall of Spokane; two sisters, Ovella Wallace of Georgia and Shirley Camden of Glasgow, Va.; two brothers, Hughie McDaniel of Newport News, Va., and Curtis McDaniel of Glasgow, Va.; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Mae Hurst Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy Mae S. Hurst, 72, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hurst, who was born in Greybull, Wyo., died Friday.
She worked for The Crescent and as a warrant clerk for Spokane County District Court.
Mrs. Hurst volunteered for the Spokane Police Department and COPS Lidgerwood.
Her husband, Dallas Hurst, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Cody Hurst of Spokane and Orie Joe Hurst of Greenacres; a brother, Bill Stanley of Sheridan, Wyo.; a sister, Edna Stanley of Virginia and four grandchildren.
Mary Slowinski Spokane
Memorial service for Mary J. Slowinski, 80, will be at 10 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mrs. Slowinski, who was born in Duluth, Minn., died Saturday.
In 1939 she married John Slowinski in Duluth.
Mrs. Slowinski was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Judy Klein of Nine Mile Falls and Janet Krueger of Spokane; a sister, Dorothy Dorfman of Superior, Wis.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Clarence ‘Jack’ Storey Seven Bays, Wash.
Memorial service for Clarence J. “Jack” Storey, 70, is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home.
Mr. Storey, who died Sunday, was born in Dixie, Wash.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Storey was an accountant with McGregor Land and Livestock in Hooper, Wash., for 38 years. He retired in 1992.
He moved to Seven Bays in 1992.
Mr. Storey was a member of the Hooper School Board, commander of the Chicken Fleet, commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Walla Walla and a member of the Elks Lodge in Walla Walla.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Winnifred; a son, James Storey of Walla Walla and a sister, Helen Storey Brooks of Walla Walla.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local heart fund or the Leukemia Research Fund.
John Rohloff Spokane
Visitation for John J.H. Rohloff, 18, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home. Service is set for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rohloff, who was born in Minneapolis, died Sunday in an automobile accident.
He was a resident of Spokane for the last 10 years and attended North Central High School.
Mr. Rohloff worked as a roofer for Everlast Roofing.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sandra and Bill Dearman of Spokane; his father, John Rohloff of Helena; and three sisters, Shannon and Jennifer Rohloff and Sabrina Mossuto all of Spokane.
Maria Fekete Spokane
Memorial service for Maria Fekete, 86, is set for 3 p.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Fekete, who was born in Ceralije, Yugoslavia, died Sunday.
In 1932 she married John Fekete in Yugoslavia.
She was a 32-year Spokane resident and a homemaker.
Mrs. Fekete was a member of St. John Vianney Parish.
Her husband died in 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Ivanka Suveg of Coeur d’Alene and Zdenka Cseh of Crown Point, Ind.; a son, Joseph Fekete of Spokane; a sister, Anna Ziegler of Woodstock, Ill.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Katherine Campbell Spokane
Memorial service for Katherine L. “Katie” Campbell, 18, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Unity Church of Truth on Bernard. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Miss Campbell, who was born in Richland, died Sunday in a car accident in Peaceful Valley.
She was a senior at the R.E.A.L. School.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Terry and Sue Campbell of Spokane; her mother and stepfather, Melinda and John Johnson of Spokane; two brothers, Derek Campbell and Andrew Gibbs, both of Spokane; three sisters, Korissa, Alicia and Miriah Campbell, all of Spokane; and her grandparents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Katie Campbell Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of any Spokane Teachers Credit Union of Spokane.
Ralph Heimbigner Odessa, Wash.
Service for Ralph J. Heimbigner, a lifetime Odessa resident, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa. Burial will follow at the Odessa Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Odessa is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Heimbigner died Sunday. He was 70.
He graduated in 1945 from Odessa High School.
He was a farmer and retired in 1992.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he performed with the choir and men’s quartet, Odessa Chamber of Commerce, Odessa Float Crew, Odessa Deutschesfest and the Oom Pas and Mas German Band.
Mr. Heimbigner was also an honorary member of the Odessa Gun Club.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; a son, Owen Heimbigner of Odessa; three daughters, Myrna Wolsborn of Odessa, Sharon Robertson of Connell, Wash., and Celia Heimbigner of Moses Lake; a brother, Raymond Heimbigner of Kennewick; and three grandsons.

Lincoln Prickett Otis Orchards
Memorial service for Lincoln W. Prickett, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be held at Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Prickett, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.
He served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954.
Mr. Prickett retired from West Valley School District.
He is survived by his companion, Pearl Neilson; a daughter, Sharon Lewis of Yakima; a son, Tracy Prickett of Harrison, Idaho; three brothers, Norman, Donald and Joel Prickett; a sister, Joyce Hendricks; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
