Isp Identifies Man Killed In Head-On Wreck With Semi

The Bonner County man killed Friday afternoon in a collision with a semi-truck near Bonners Ferry was identified as Michael W. Gray.

Idaho State Police said the 42-year-old Sandpoint man was driving eastbound in the wrong lane of Rapid Lightning Road about 1 p.m. Friday.

Semi-truck driver Matt Maggi, 30, of Bonners Ferry, tried unsuccessfully to avoid Gray’s 1982 Datsun pickup, but the two vehicles collided head-on.

Troopers believe Gray had been drinking and taking prescription drugs before the accident.
