It doesn’t take a green thumb to have fresh greens at your fingertips.

Live Gourmet Lettuce, from Hollandia Produce in California, is grown in a greenhouse without pesticides and packaged in plastic with its root structure intact, so it stays fresher longer.

There are two varieties: delicate butter lettuce and the crisp, colorful lolla rossa.

Just be careful about telling your friends you have something living in your refrigerator. They might think it needs cleaning.
