Crispers More Cookie Than Snack Cracker

Rick Bonino Food Editor

When you get right down to it, there can be a fine line between crackers and cookies.

Nabisco’s new Sweet Crispers snack crackers - sort of a sweeter cousin to the company’s Air Crisps - are stocked with the crackers in some supermarkets and with the cookies in others.

We served the honey version (they also come in chocolate, caramel and cinnamon) to The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel. Some people weren’t sure whether to call them crackers, but most panelists called them pretty good.

Comments: “Crispy and a nice size with lots of sugar on top. Lots of graham cracker taste for such a small cracker.” - Tina Johnson

“Very light, very sweet, very crunchy. Add a little milk and you’d have a popular breakfast cereal for kids. But I wouldn’t call it a cracker.” - Catherine Lunt Greer
