Breakfast Toppers Generally Good

Rick Bonino Food Editor

The often caustic critics who comprise The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel aren’t exactly known for syrupy comments. So we figured they’d be a perfect audience for the new Wilderness Breakfast Toppers, fruit-based alternatives to breakfast syrups.

The apple cinnamon version we served (it also comes in blueberry, strawberry and cherry) got generally good grades, although some panelists detected a “diet” taste - despite the absence of any artificial sweeteners.

Oh, that’s just some more of their fruity comments.
