Jennifer Beebe Honored As Goodwill Employee

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest recently honored several businesses, volunteers, and employees for outstanding service.

Coldwater Creek, Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene was honored for exceptional hiring, training and retention of disabled or disadvantaged workers.

Jennifer Beebe, Sandpoint, received the Goodwill Employee of the Year award (sponsored by Washington Trust Bank).

Washington Water Power recently awarded a $1,500 scholarship to Juta Babette Geurtsen through the WWP Mindpower Generation Scholarship Program. Geurtsen is the daughter of Adrian and Babette Geurtsen and is a 1998 graduate of Troy (Idaho) Junior-Senior High School. She will attend the University of Idaho.

Robert G. Templin, a Post Falls resident and businessman, has been reappointed by Gov. Phil Batt to serve on the Idaho Travel Council.

Templin will serve his three-year term as Region 1 representative.

The American Association of University Women recently installed officers. Officers and their positions are as follows: Chris Mikles, president; Linda Koep and Lucretia Pladera, program vice presidents; Darleen Sheldon, membership vice president; and Penny Neely, treasurer.

Coeur d’Alene area resident, Bridgette Ray, received the Dorothy Moser AAUW Scholarship to North Idaho College.
