Sports Afield, the 113-year-old magazine that recently led its editorial policy astray to feature bikini-clad cover models and yuppie sports, is returning to its roots.
Beginning with the August issue, the magazine will focus again on hunting and fishing.
“At a time when there are more hunters and anglers in America than all other outdoor sports combined, the move back to the magazine’s original format is supported by 92 percent of Sports Afield’s previous readers,” Hearst Corporation officials said.
