Training Completed By Nathan Mullen
Air Force Airman Nathan L. Mullen has completed basic military training from Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
Mullen is the son of Todd and Debbie Mullen, Deer Park, and is a 1999 graduate of a home school program.
Aaron Elliott, Fairchild Air Force Base, participated in the Hackman Scholars Program at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., this summer. The Hackman program provides Franklin and Marshall students with specialized summer opportunities to conduct individual research projects with faculty members. Elliott worked with biology professor Dr. James Mountjoy on a project titled “Function and Repertoires in the Yellow-Throated Vireo.”
Elliott is the son of Gus and Randi Elliott, Fairchild Air Force Base, and is a 1997 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. He is currently a senior biology major at Franklin and Marshall.
Brittany Hopkins, Spokane, received a bachelor of music in voice performance from Boston University. She graduated summa cum laude.

Reverie Ann Mott, Spokane, was recently named a James B. Angell Scholar at the University of Michigan. The award is given for an straight-A record for two or more consecutive terms as an undergraduate.
Stephen J. Lederer, Spokane, recently received a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Gonzaga University.
Lederer is the son of James and Jane Lederer, Spokane.
Jerry and Molly Walker, Endicott, Wash., were awarded the Parker Award 2000 by the Spokane Area Council of the Square and Folk Dance Federation of Washington. This “Inspirational Award” cup was given for their outstanding job of teaching and promoting folk dancing as a wholesome recreation for young and old alike.
