Fire Destroys House; None Hurt
No one was injured, but a home was destroyed in a Thursday evening fire north of Bonners Ferry.
The two-story home, owned by Jim Thompson, was destroyed on the upper level. Thompson and his family were in Canada on holiday when the fire occurred, according to the Boundary County Sheriff’s Department.
The fire was reported at 9:28 p.m. Firefighters from around the county responded to the house fire, which was outside city limits.
The newer home was on Wild Horse Lane. The cause of the fire was unknown Friday. Fire officials were unavailable for comment.
