Lipton Italian Dressing Will Please Garlic Lovers
As faithful readers will recall, we recently served The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel a French dressing by Benecol that claims to lower cholesterol levels, like the vegetable oil spread of the same name.
However healthy the “functional food” dressing might be, panelists hated it, terming it too tart.
Now Lipton, maker of the competing Take Control cholesterol-friendly spreads, has come out with its own salad dressing line. Panel members thought the garlicky Italian version we served them was also strong-flavored, but in a more pleasing fashion.
Guess you could say Lipton is more their cup of tea.
