You can clean sponges by placing them securely on the top rack of your dishwasher or stuck in the silverware basket the next time you wash a load of dishes. They will come out clean and ready to use again. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: Here’s another use for the small pillboxes with sections.

Dig out the lipstick in the bottom of the tubes and put it in the different sections, and you can see at a glance which shade you want. Apply with a lipstick brush.
