Monday’s game
Blue Jays 6, Angels 5 (10): Chris Gomez scored the winning run in the 10th inning when nobody covered the plate during a rundown, and Toronto beat Anaheim. With runners on first and second, Simon Pond hit a sharp grounder to first baseman Casey Kotchman, who knocked the ball down with a dive. Second baseman Adam Kennedy picked up the ball and threw to catcher Bengie Molina, who got Gomez in a rundown between third and home. Molina chased Gomez up the line before throwing to Alfredo Amezaga. Gomez then headed toward home, and Amezaga had no one at the plate to throw the ball to.
