Bath and hand soap can be expensive, so it helps to be able to stretch your dollars.

One of the best inventions of recent years is the foam dispenser, which actually uses less soap than other types of pump dispensers. Some of the containers can be reused. After you’ve used the original soap, pour additional liquid soap into the reusable foam dispenser until it’s one-fourth full, then add water and shake to mix. Pump several times, and you’re good to go. This also works with body washes for the shower and bath.

Hint: A large, gallon-size container of antibacterial hand soap will last more than a year at the rate that you will be using it.
