Do you have a passion for food? Tell us about it

The Spokesman-Review

In his essay, “The Epicure’s Anthology,” A.J.A. Symons described an epicure like way:

“The epicure is not a man who thinks of, and lives for, his belly alone; … he is not a hedonist who sees life as a succession of pleasureable sensations to be obtained by hook, crook or levitation; he is not a tablebore who rams his one subject down your throat; he is not a pride starved victim of insufficiency striving to assert a false superiority by making undue fuss over wine and food.

“He is simply ‘one who cultivates a refined taste for the pleasures of the table.’ No more.”

Whether you call yourself an epicure or a gourmand, gastronome or connoisseur, gourmet or foodie, or simply consider yourself someone with a passion for food and culinary culture we’d like to hear about you. We’ll be featuring local women, men and children who have taken their interest in food beyond the norm in an occasional story in the IN Food section.
