Health district looking for food committee member

The Spokane Regional Health District is looking for someone to serve on its Food Advisory Committee.

The committee is a cooperative effort between the Health District’s food safety inspection program and the food industry. It helps in the development of educational materials and class instruction programs and gives input on health district policies, procedures, regulations and fees. The committee opening is for a consumer representative.

Applicants must live in Spokane County and be willing to serve a two-year term. They must be able to attend formal meetings on the first Wednesday of February, May, August and November. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Spokane Regional Health District food program at 324-1560, ext. 2, before next Wednesday, and an application will be sent to you.
